2012 promises to be exciting as new projects are in the works.

Its been a long road and a hard drive but with drive and determination nothing is far fetched.
Shortly after the professor’s abstract thesis was handed in, 2011 welcomed a brand new masquerade with open arms . Meanwhile several XperimentZ were carried out in the wee hours before dawn leading to exceptional results with the public echoing “nice one” in unison. Many moons passed before the crew had to Illastr8 II the world that hip-hop is a common language with out restrictions or rigid forms somewhat desultory but with a driving cohesiveness invisible to the untrained eye.

Thanks for the support y’all…let’s keep the same energy come 2012..big things fam!!

Featuring Artists Who Are Redefining African Music, Culture & The Continent.

Afrika21 is the definitive voice of Africa’s emerging creative thinkers in music, art & culture. Presently, coverage of the continentʼs fundamental weaknesses - civil war, poverty, and helplessness, overshadow the well of innovation rapidly emerging from Africa and the Diaspora. Afrika21 gives audiences a first hand look at 21st century contemporary African music and culture to create a new dialogue around Africa.

The Afrika21 Mixtape Project is an opportunity to celebrate Africaʼs next wave of musicians, highlight the renaissance taking place on the continent and raise the profile of people and organizations working toward framing a new vision of Africa in the 21st century.

Afro B-Boy

Teck-Zilla

AJCP is an audio quasi-documentary inspired by Africa’s rich musical and political history. Teck-Zilla goes the extra mile and digs deep into the sounds from 70s Africa.Splices them with rich commentary/sound bites from Africa’s great political & musical visionaries such as Nkrumah, Lumumba, Nnamdi Azikiwe,Sunny Ade,Fela Kuti etc. to create a fusion of raw edged boom-bap beats laced with African melodies and rhythm.
